The John Danforth Odell Libray is housed in a newer 12,000 square foot facility that was designed to architecturally reflect the community’s heritage.  Odell Public Library offers a 35,000 volume collection, magazines, videos, computer and internet access, meeting rooms, and the borrowing power of three library loan systems (PALS) that connect to every library in Northern Illinois.

The library offers one of the most complete genealogical research sections in the region, attracting locals and people from all over the country who are interested in researching their ancestors

The City’s community room, also a part of this building, is a 3,700 square foot facility with a fully equipped commercial kitchen.  The furnished meeting room holds up to 150 people and is available to residents and organizations for events and meetings.  The Odell Public Library is a monument to Morrison’s future.
