Think Local, Shop Local, Morrison First!
Think Local, Shop Local, Morrison First!

    August 1st, 2014

Many people give little consideration to the choice of spending their money locally or out of town.  The idea of burning a couple gallons of gas, the wear and tear on the vehicle, and the time it takes are given little concern when driving out of town for a slight, if any savings.  Granted, there are some things that are not available for purchase in Morrison, but there are many items and services available at competitive prices, which also provide added bonuses to our community. When you purchase at a locally owned business, approximately 80% of that money is kept right here in Morrison; it creates local employment and self-employment.  That business where you spent your money often purc[...]

    Join the Cash Mob!

    July 9th, 2014

On THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2014—the Cash Mob will meet at 4:00 p.m. at the Morrison Chamber of Commerce, 221 W. Main Street, where the Mob will find out the business that will be MOBBED! This is a great way to shop local, have fun, and send a message loud and clea[...]

Report from Mayor Pannier on the “State of the City”

    February 7th, 2014

It doesn’t seem like it’s been eight months since I took office, so it’s past time that I provide some updates as to what your City has been up to. Your Council and Administration have accomplished much over the past several months, but unfortunately all the water line breaks draw attention away from the many positive things that have occurred.  In addressing the water line breaks, we have been trying everything that we can think of to get them stopped. Part of the problem is that with the entire system being underground we cannot determine if small leaks are or have been occurring until they finally grow larger and come to the surface.   We have switched back and forth from one well to t[...]
