Whiteside County Public Transportation

It is the mission of Whiteside County Public Transportation to get residents of all ages where they need to go while providing safe, efficient, affordable countywide transportation. We strive to enhance the
quality of life for all Whiteside County residents. WCPT is available for residents of ALL ages throughout Whiteside County to get to resources such as: medical, educational, nutritional, social, business, employment, or anywhere else you might need to go! WCPT provides curb to curb transit services Monday-Friday. The fleet consists of lift-equipped and ramped vehicles making the system fully accessible. Comfort/Service animals are welcome on all fleet vehicles. Please notify your dispatcher when creating your reservation if a comfort/service animal will be accompanying you.

Whiteside County Senior Center

The Whiteside County Senior Center provides programs to meet the needs of Whiteside County seniors. Senior services, educational programs, daily activities including pool, card playing, Scrabble, canasta, beading, and more are offered. They also coordinate one day trips and extended trips for seniors at a reasonable price. Home cooked lunches are offered daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Whiteside County Senior Center also provides public transportation (see Whiteside County Public Transportation for more information) to all age residents of Whiteside County (within and outside the county). The Emporium Thrift Center, located at 115 West Third Street, Sterling, offers gently used items for the public at a reasonable price.
